Mark founded Makado in 2012 and immediately developed the first Makado project, which culminated in a 56-home residential community in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Previously, he was a leader in the tax-exempt lending industry at Piper Jaffray for over 20 years, serving as a managing director in the fixed income department, as well as on the firm leadership team and Department Operating Committee.

Mark grew up in the Twin Cities and has lived and traveled abroad. He graduated cum laude from Boston University and with academic distinction from Thunderbird School of Graduate Management.
